Yes, there are several national groups trying to influence local politics. We have them off our board by 7-0. But it's a constant battle to make sure people know the truth!
I was not familiar with this organization. It seems to be urging a middle ground. But in my opinion, there can be no middle ground when it comes to social justice, bigotry, and hate. These things must be confronted head on. So I refuse to try to "get along" with bigotry to find a way forward. In the end, this will backfire.
If the state GOP were truly representing the people, we wouldn't have ended up with a voucher program that most of the public doesn't want. They have all the levels of power, they deserve all of the blame for what is about to happen to our budget and our pubilc school system.
I strongly suggest that you look into the "Voucher Program" closely investigating to see if there are any Christian Nationalist connections, in particular any Hillsdale College affiliations/associations. Towards that end I also would like to suggest that you might want to subscribe to and learn from Andy Spear's Substack The Education Report found at the following URL: https://theeducationreport.substack.com
With regards to Project 2025 I suggest that maybe you might want to go through this list of "Advisory Board members" located via the link below to see if any of them appear familiar to you or if you have any knowledge of any of them directly influencing Iowa politics. If you do find any please let me know.
Well Mom's for Liberty are certainly directly influencing local races. This entire Substack is written about this. The Heritage foundation is another that likes to be involved everywhere that they can. The other one that I know for sure is settling in and targeting our high schools and University's is called Turning Point USA, or just TPUSAA. They have been heavily involved with some local school board fights.
Iowa, my, my. You are right in the thick of things there, especially with White Supremacy groups if I remember correctly.

Now that I think about it I have some material and websites bookmarked that focus on Turning Point USA. I shall dig them up for you.
I will check this out, thanks.
