Restoring Democracy’s Promise Submits Memorandum to Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board on Potential IPERS Conflicts of Interest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Today, Restoring Democracy’s Promise formally submitted a memorandum of concern to the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board outlining potential undisclosed conflicts of interest related to investment decisions within the Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System (IPERS).
This filing follows a series of public-records requests and analyses documenting governance risks in Iowa’s pension oversight system.
The memorandum, also copied to State Auditor Rob Sand, requests an independent review pursuant to Iowa Code §§ 68B.2A and 68B.25, citing fiduciary concerns and recent transparency challenges in accessing public records.
Our newsroom remains committed to advancing accountability and public trust in Iowa’s governance systems.
